Stem Cell Transplant
Our loving and faithful father was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (ALK Large B Cell). There have been less than 200 cases ever recorded.
This journey started in 2018 and has not been an easy one. His first treatment was many rounds of Chemo which doctors had hoped would wipe it out. It came back and in March of 2020 and he then underwent a Stem Cell Transplant. In June of 2020 we found out the transplant had failed and he would have to have a Donor Stem Cell Transplant. Thankfully, one of his brothers is a 100% match. This next transplant will start for him in September and take us through sometime in 2021. We are hopeful for a clean bill of health on a PET Scan at the one year mark. Doctors say they won’t be able to certify him Cancer free until the five year mark but we are still believing for the best!
Thank you in advance for all the love, prayers and support.
