In 2012 my son Corey Infussi, was about to marry the love of his life Amanda Blum and her daughter Adra. As I think back I remember his life filled with love and joy,
Unfortunately, Two days before the wedding he was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma.
This lead to an excrutiating year of chemo therapy which finally brought him into a remission.
Since then they have added 3 more children Cameran, Aria and Amelia which completed his family. Life was good again.
This January Corey was having difficulty breathing, and was diagnosed with nfluenza and pnemonia but His condition worsened regardless of the treatments. Thinking the cancer had returned his wife Amanda contacted his old Cancer Dr. for advice, she immediatletly referred him to RI Hospital, where he was admitted.
Since that time multiple attempts to put a name on what is causing his heart and lung condition have been made, still to date no proper diagnosis. All we know for sure is that major lung and heart abnormalities exist, the doctors are considering it a “head scratcher case” stating they have never seen this before.
This leaves Corey and his beautiful young family with many struggles and uncertainties. He will be staying hospitalized indefinitely until a proper prognosis is made.
This looks to be a long road a head for my son and his family not only with deep concern for his health but also with deep concern for the increasing financial hardship it has imposed.
As anyone could expect this entire situation is breaking my heart. Today I am reaching out to all of you who took the time to read this and or shared and request positive thoughts and prayers. Any contributions lovingly offered will be greatly appreciated.
