NYC Subway Attack - Run over by a train

Run over by a train. On November 19, 2020, Liliana Sagbaicela was the victim of a horrifying, senseless, unprovoked attack when a deranged man shoved her off the subway platform onto the tracks of an oncoming train. https://nypost.com/2020/11/19/video-shows-homeless-man-shoving-woman-onto-nyc-subway-tracks/
Miraculously, Liliana landed in the row bed between the rails and the train passed right over her. She survived, by the grace of God. Her injuries are non-life threatening and she is now at home recovering. https://nypost.com/2020/11/20/nyc-subway-shove-victim-doesnt-remember-attack/
Liliana lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two daughters. She is an Ecuadorian immigrant who is self-employed as a housekeeper in Manhattan. She does not have health insurance and will face a mountain of bills for her hospital stay, follow-up visits, and the physical therapy she will need to get back to good health.
Self-employed, she doesn't have disability insurance to help pay the bills while she is out of work recovering from this accident. In addition, she and her family must now deal with the long road of recovery from the stress and trauma that this horrific accident has caused.
These funds will be used to cover medical expenses, living expenses for the family due to Liliana's loss of wages as she recovers.
This accident could have happened to any of us New Yorkers who take the subway. Please help raise awareness and support for this family who has been impacted by this senseless violence.
Esther, the fundraising organizer, is a concerned NY resident who wanted to help ensure this family did not slip through the cracks and was cared for during this difficult time. I was surprised to see no GoFundMe set up to help and so I reached out to Liliana to discuss how I could help. I am in contact with her and her family and they have given me their blessing to help support them by setting up a GoFundMe on their behalf.
Liliana is designated as the direct beneficiary of all the funds raised.
