Such As I Have: PROJECT UGANDA

Hi, my name is Magnus and I'm about to turn 8 years old.

I am very lucky to be homeschooled and have an education here in Australia. Many kids don't have the same kind of chance for education in Uganda. The poverty rate in Uganda is very high (about 30%) and this makes it really hard for kids to go to school. They don't have enough money for uniforms, school bags, books, tuition and they may have to walk really far to get to school. This takes time away from them being able to help their family. The saddest part to me is that some of the girls will be forced to get married, without even going to secondary school (high school).

Education is important so you can learn and choose how you want to live a better life. I'm trying to raise $2,875 (AUD) to keep 41 students in school for a year. This money will be paid directly to the school for these kids. This is a lot of money, but with the right help, we can do it together! Achieving this goal means 41 kids have another year of education. Education is something no one can ever take away from you and you can share with others. Imagine how many people will feel good if we achieve this!
