SUDAN REFUGEES: Female Sanitary Pads & Hygiene Support

Amid the ongoing displacement crisis of the Sudanese, countless women and girls are facing unimaginable hardships. I have come to learn that among the many urgent needs of Sudanese women in the camps I visited this April was access to basic menstrual hygiene products. It is critical yet often overlooked. Across all four refugee camps, women are without proper sanitation pads and at risk of infections as camps are with 1 toilet for every 80 people as reported by the UN.

Successfully, along with colleagues who visited the camps with me, we delivered sanitary pads to 1000 women providing them with temporary relief as they awaited a "promised" global support. Unfortunately, Sudanese refugees seem to be forgotten in the current times.

We are launching this GoFundMe campaign to further raise more funds to not only purchase sanitation pads to Sudanese women and girls in refugee camps across, but also provide the option of internally producing and sourcing other hygiene products. Your support will ensure that they can manage their health with safety. This small act of kindness will make a profound difference in their daily lives, allowing them to focus on rebuilding and thriving despite the challenges they face.
