Sudden and Tragic Loss of Jennifer Dryburgh

Hello everyone, my name is Debra. I’m Orion’s mother and Ethan’s grammy. It is with profound sadness I share our story and ask for any support you find it in your heart to give. Jen, Orion's partner and Ethan's mommy died unexpectedly on December 11th. I created this gofundme to help out my son and grandson.

Current update February 13 We are in the midst of clearing, cleaning and packing for the move to a new home. Movers are booked.

Ethan’s sharing more about his sadness, as he continues to grieve. I found a few books for children that talk about death. We look at them together.

There's so much still to be done in the midst of our loss. The shock has worn off, now the pain is surfacing. And life goes on. It hasn't stopped. When is there time to grieve?

January 26 We are extremely grateful for all the donations. People are continuing to contribute.

Funds will be used toward moving expenses, as Orion and Ethan shift into a smaller, more affordable home.

We are trying to determine a date for Jen's celebration of life event. There's still so much to be done before we can focus on that. Funds will go toward that too. Plenty of upcoming expenses. Thanks again for all those who've contributed. Ethan and I enjoy our time together. Lots of hugs. We are reading a book called Wherever You Are My Love Will Find You. Speaks to our hearts.

Update, January 14

We are so close to our goal and thank everyone who's contributed. We are touched by your generosity.

We realized how exhausted we are lately, feeling it more than simply on the physical level. It's hard to believe just over a month has gone by.

Orion and Ethan are carrying on while still feeling the immense loss of Jen. Mother. Wife. Her absence is huge.

The extra cash flow has been a great help, lessening the stress of financial pressures.

January 5. My grandson is back at daycare with his friends, after the holiday break. He spoke about his mommy last night and how she was sick. He misses her tremendously. Said she's gone.

It's still difficult to really get this. I'm having my own moments overcome with sadness and bewilderment.

I am thankful for the contributions donors have made to help Orion and Ethan. Donations are going toward living expenses, such as rent, gas, daycare fees, food. It amazes me what their grocery bill amounts are.
