Sue and Charlie from Hurricane Ian disaster

Hi, my name is Barb Brockman. I currently reside in Ohio and I am a long time friend of Sue and Charlie Bergman. They reside in Englewood, Florida but Sue originally from Coldwater and Charlie is from St. Henry. Charlie worked at Crown from many years in New Bremen then Charlotte NC and also in Orlando Fla until he retired. they retired to Englewood. Right now, they are going through a tremendously difficult time. Their residence was destroyed by Hurricane Ian. In addition to many damages, their roof was torn off. In Florida, obtaining hurricane insurance is expensive and nearly impossible for mobile homes.

In addition to the hurricane devastation, Sue is back in the hospital after needing surgery due to a severe infection. Surgery and hospital stays are nothing new to her, but it’s a lot for Charlie to be handling while she’s in the hospital.
