Sue Petersen, a former graphic designer and open mic performer, now spends her time as one of the best local music supporters on the South Shore. She spends countless hours everyday compiling a list for Facebook of all the local music happenings which has become a reliable source for music lovers and a useful tool for local musicians. She does it to show her appreciation for the music she enjoys. Additionally, she spends every night traveling to one or more venues to catch as many of her local favorites as possible. She makes sure to catch and post photos at local shows as well as open mics for musicians to use as some social marketing! We as local musicians, truly appreciate all the work and time Sue spends every week to help us out and now it’s our time to show it!!
For the last few months, Sue has been dealing with ongoing car trouble that has left her stranded and unable to do what she loves most: go see live music. Declan Kelehan, came up with the great idea of transforming a local open mic night into an event showing Sue some love by raising money to repair her very old high mileage car… or to buy a better used car.
Tuesday, August 15th at the Tinkers Son, we are going to take over the open mic night hosted by the wonderful Scott Kaufman.
We appreciate everyone’s willingness to help and support and can’t wait to shower Sue with love next Tuesday!!!
If you can't make it to Tinker’s, please consider donating here.
