Dedicate woodland in memory of Sue Biddle

Donation protected
One of the very many things my mum gifted us was an enduring love of nature and the British countryside. When she died, it grew clearer how she had given that love to so many more people.

Sue was a Forest Schools teacher, working at Bridgewater Drive Primary to inspire young people to go outside and grow to love the Earth they live on. She was a keen allotment gardener, and some of my earliest memories are with her and my dad, getting stung by nettles, planting seeds, and pond dipping on my parent's plot.

Her knowledge of trees, wildflowers, and bird song was vast – her encyclopaedic wisdom meant it was often quicker asking Mum than bothering with google.

Funds raised on this page will be used to purchase woodland in Mum's memory, at Brooke Hill Wood in Oakham, near Rutland Water. Mum mentioned specifically this when she had news her cancer treatment was being stopped, and so we are carrying out her wishes now she has passed. The scheme is run by the Woodland Trust - https://shop.woodlandtrust.org.uk/dedication

The final dedication of the woodland will be done by her family, but a post will be planted in Sue's name so that anyone may go and visit.
