Suffering Correctional Officer

Malcolm Billingsley, Correctional Officer at Richard J. Donovan was assaulted by multiple inmates on Sunday, August 16th, 2020. Officer Billingsley had to be transported to the hospital due to injuries sustained from being assaulted while trying to protect himself and his partners. Officer Billingsley has been stripped of his ability to care for his son for an extended period of time due to his injuries.  The physical and mental trauma from this horrific incident will remain with Officer Billingsley for a lifetime. It is unknown when he will be able to return to work as well as family who has had to take off work to assist in the care of him and his son. Officer Billingsley and his family are working hard everyday to recover and any assistance given will be used towards his recovery and to help support his family.  Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated.
