Matters of the heart

I'm starting this campaign to ask for your help to raise funds for a man who truly needs your loving support.
In August, Jason was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, after suffering TWO silent heart attacks. For the past 3 months he has undergone a daunting regimen of high test medications in hopes of strengthening his heart enough to undergo life-saving double bypass surgery. The good news is, the medication and Jason's' determination to make major lifestyle changes have been successful and his heart function has improved enough for him to qualify for the surgery he needs. The bad news is, having this surgery means that he will not be able to earn income to pay rent, or the utilities or even to buy food while recuperating for up to 3 months. It's disheartening that he now is faced with having to choose between having the surgery that he so desperately needs or continuing to work a very limited schedule just to keep a roof over his family's head until his heart inevitably gives out.
Jason has always been a hard worker. He, at times, has worked 3 jobs as a single parent of three children. Growing up and surviving the foster care system, he’s always been able to overcome any adversity that came his way but this time he needs a little assistance.
Any amount will be a tremendous help and so very appreciated.
Thank you so much for taking the time to consider our request.
