Suicide Awareness and Prevention Fair
Donation protected
My name is Malcolm Small, and I'm a Suicide Awareness and Mental Health Advocate. As someone who's been affected by both, I think it's essential to take the time during this month of Suicide awareness to do something for everyone that's ever been affected or knows someone that's struggled with mental health and suicide. As a man of color, my community is affected by suicide more than any other, and to help continue to bring awareness and spread ways of prevention and different methods and resources to assist in the everyday struggle. That's why my team of S.O.S (Speaking On Suicide) is hosting a fair to continue spreading our findings and resources to others here in Richmond at the end of the month. All donations and proceeds would help secure the tools and resources needed to make this event as successful as possible. At the same time, any leftover funds would be donated to the I.A.S.P, the International Association for Suicide Prevention. I ask those who are able to please consider helping us fund and put together this event, through my journey with mental health, I have found that anything is possible with the help of those around you and that most importantly, you can't put a price on mental stability, for yourself and everyone.
