Alex and Marina speaking at the Atlantic Council in Washington on 9/12/2018.

Our case is moving ahead - we've just filed rebuttals to the defendants' motions to dismiss. Tons of gratitude to everyone who's helped. Between this and our Russian page we have raised over $33,000!
As a token of gratitude, everyone who donates $100 or more gets a signed copy of our book.
But the fight goes on and we still need your help. The defendants, with their unlimited resources, hired top notch lawyers who bombard the court with motions aiming to prevail by attrition. Our only source is crowdfunding, the bulk of which comes from the Russian expat community. Please spread this story among your English speaking friends and ask them to invest a few dollars in this important project.
WHO WE ARE
Marina is the widow, and Alex, a close friend, of the Russian dissident Alexander (Sasha) Litvinenko poisoned by Kremlin agents in 2006 with radioactive Polonium-210.
We ask for your support of a defamation suit against two Russian propaganda outlets, Channel One and RT, which have accused Alex of Sasha's murder in order to vindicate the real murderers.
BACKGROUND
In the aftermath of the last year poisoning of Sergei Skripal and his daughter in Salisbury with the nerve agent "Novichok", the Russian state-controlled media broadcasted several programs about the Litvinenko case, pushing the notion that the Russian government had nothing to do with both poisonings. To deflect the blame from the true murderers they falsely accused Alex Goldfarb of poisoning Litvinenko "on behalf of the CIA", and then killing his own wife, Svetlana, because "she knew too much". They did it without offering a shred of evidence and notwithstanding the facts that (a) Svetlana died of cancer and (b) a judicial inquiry in London established beyond reasonable doubt that two Russian agents, Andrey Lugovoy and Dmitry Kovtun, poisoned Sasha.
THE LAWSUIT
On 9/6/2018 Alex filed a defamation lawsuit against two Russian networks with the US Federal Court in Manhattan (Alex is a US citizen). Marina, who is a citizen of Great Britain, cannot be a co-plaintiff for jurisdictional reasons. But she fully supports this lawsuit.
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
Because they should not be allowed to lie with impunity. Much has been said about Russian efforts to subvert Western democracies through propaganda and fake news. Little has been done to stop it. It is about time someone calls into account Kremlin's masters of disinformation who fabricate and spread lies while posing as journalists.
