Help Mark battle pancreatic cancer
Donation protected
On February 14, 11 days after his 14th birthday, Mark collapsed on the floor during a basketball game with chest pain and shortness of breath. He was immediately taken to the emergency department where he was later admitted to the ICU for a week and spent a total of two weeks in the hospital. Mark was eventually diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and will have surgery on April 20th to remove the tumor. He is expected to be in the hospital for a week afterwards. Due to his illness, his family has taken time off work and any contribution would help them cover his ongoing care.
Mark is an 8th grade student at Riverview Grade School and plays baseball, basketball, football and track and also is student council vice president. He will be a freshman at Metamora High School in the fall of 2021. We would appreciate your thoughts and prayers for his surgery and recovery time. Thank you!
