Summer Camp - Enrichment Camp - Gaston Point

Hi, my name is Martha Mais, I am a lifelong resident of the Gaston Point Community. As a retired Educator from the Gulfport School District, I am aware of the needs of children in our community.

Extend a Hand Help a Friend (a Non-Profit organization) along with other community leaders have for the past several years sponsored a FREE summer enrichment camp at Gaston Point Community Center for about 100 school-aged students. This year's camp will begin June 12, 2023, and end July 14, 2023. The times are from 8 am - 1 pm Breakfast, snacks and lunch will be provided for each child

It is the goal of this camp to provide a safe and fun and educational place. Current activities are indoor and outdoor games, academic lessons, arts/crafts, as well as field trips. More activities are planned, and with your donations, new activities can be added to this camp. Some planned activities are:

State Test ACT Preparation --Tutoring Program
