Summer Concert Series in Farnsworth Park

With 2020 behind us, the Rotary Club of Altadena will again partner with Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation Department, sponsors and the local community to offer the Farnsworth Park Summer Concert Series. FREE Admission. As Immediate Past-President of the Rotary club, I am leading the GoFundMe campaign to benefit the Altadena Rotary Charities, the funding partner for the Concert Series.
The Summer Concert Series started in 1997 and this will be the 24th season of live music in the beautiful amphitheater located in Farnsworth Park in Altadena California. The Rotary Club took over the full operations in 2018. Again, we were not able to provide this service in 2020 due to the restrictions on outdoor events by Los Angeles County Health Department. This year, there will be some challenges to operating the concerts. Because of that, we anticipate our expenses to go up substantially. Also, since we just recently received permission to operate at 67% occupancy and with additional safety rules, we have just started planning and raising funds from the community, local businesses and others.

Altadena Rotary Charities ("ARC") was organized as a Public Benefit Organization for 3 broadly conceived purposes. 1) ARC benefits the residents of Altadena & Pasadena, 2) ARC supports the charitable & philanthropic work of the Rotary Club Of Altadena including work projects & the provision of volunteer power to worthy causes & events, including those organized by other Charitable Organizations, 3) support projects outside of the USA via the Rotary International Service Projects that are organized by other Rotary Clubs throughout the world.www.altadenarotary.org
