Summer Storms Relief Fund 2022

Historic rainfall and violent storms across the Midwest have caused dangerous flash flooding and severe damage to many communities each year. As the summer months continue, we expect more storms, heavy rain, lightning fires, and floods that will bring destruction to more communities.

This fund is a centralized place to support people and communities that are directly affected by this year’s summer storms. Below is a list of affected areas to date. We will continue to monitor storm destruction and update the list with areas this fund will benefit.

St. Louis, MO - Heavy rains and thunderstorms flooded roadways, houses, and buildings on Jul 26, 2022. So far, over 400 people have been rescued and 2 killed from flash flooding. On July 28, St. Louis County Executive Dr. Sam Page declared a state of emergency.

Kentucky - Eastern Kentucky is experiencing serious flooding. So far, 8 people have been killed and several counties are underwater. Rescue efforts are underway to save people stranded on rooftops.

Donations to this fund will be distributed to verified individual GoFundMe fundraisers created by and for people impacted, and to vetted nonprofit organizations on the ground providing short and long-term relief.

Updates will be posted to this fund and emailed to donors as grants are sent. Thank you for helping those who now face unexpected challenges and uncertainty.
