Help Us Prepare For Summers at Farmers Protest
Summers of Delhi are harsh, and it is essential to provide basic utilities like fans, cold water and mosquito nets to keep the protest in high spirits.
Hemkunt Foundation has already distributed over 500 fans and mosquito nets in the last few days and has installed a water cooler at the Tikri border to help farmers beat the summers.
We are currently raising $20,000 AUD ($15,500 USD) for around 1000 fans, 1000 mosquito nets and 2 water chilling plants with this fundraiser.
Each fan cost around ₹800 (USD 11/ AUD 14), including transportation costs, and can serve up to 3 people.
Each mosquito net cost ₹150 (USD 2/AUD 2.7) and can serve up to 2 people.
Each water chilling plant cost ₹75000 (USD 1000/AUD 1300) and can cool down up to 24,000 litres of water daily as it comes out of the water purifying plants that we installed previously.
Total funds required in AUD: $14000 (fans) + $2700 (mosquito nets) + $2600 (chilling plants) + 2% to 3% card transaction fee (on platform's end)
Why we need fans, water cooling systems and mosquito nets
Fans and water cooling system are important to save our dear farmers from dehydration and keep them in high spirits under the harsh summer of Delhi.
Mosquito nets provide them with protection from all the deadly diseases like malaria & dengue at nights.
After the protest
Please note that your donations will serve a much broader purpose. Once farmers return home after their victory, we will donate all the working equipment to the communities of Sikligar & Vanjarey Sikhs of Madhya Pardesh, living a marginal life.
