The Summer FIDE Title Quest
Donation protected
Hi Friends. You likely know me as Levy Rozman, Chess Coach and the captain of the rising Packer Collegiate Chess Team. I have a passion for teaching (and chess specifically) and have devoted the better part of the last two years developing my coaching style.
However, what many of you may not know is that I am a chess warrior at heart. I played in National Scholastics since age 7 and ranked in the Top 10 for my age group every year since. The only aspect of my chess 'career' that has eluded me consists of the three distinctions of the World Chess Federation: FIDE Master, International Master, and Grandmaster. (FM) is achieved via rating, and the latter two are achieved with spectacular performances in 9+ round tournaments.
These 9-round Opens bring me here today. I have always dreamt of taking time outside of academics to hibernate, prepare, and challenge my titled rivals. Unfortunately, I have always lacked the financial backing for necessary airfare, entry fees, and housing in order to participate. Thus, I turn to you and humbly ask for your support in my title journey this summer, the calendar and estimated fees (for maximum transparency) of which I have outlined below.
