Sundara: Soap Recycling in India

Donation protected
Soap. It's something most of us take for granted, but according to a Unilever study, nearly 70 million people in India have never used soap before.

The Sundara Fund is determined to do something about that. We run India’s first and only soap recycling initiative . We have partnered with some of Mumbai’s most luxurious hotels to collect used bar soap to recycle and distribute to underserved communities nearby.

We also employ local women as Sundara hygiene ambassadors, training them to recycle soap and empowering them to teach hygiene lessons in their communities.

In order to continue funding this project, we are looking for your help!

$5 buys packaging materials for over 200 bars of soap
$10 provides a hygiene ambassador supplies to recycle soap for a month
$25 runs a hygiene workshop for an entire school
$130 employs a Sundara hygiene ambassador for a month
No donation is too small!

You can also help us by spreading the word about our campaign and our efforts to your friends, colleagues, and family and liking us on Facebook  or following us on Twitter.

Thank you so much for your support. We could never do this work without people like you.
