*Fundraiser made to allow anyone who can’t make it on the day, or would like to contribute a little more.

In support of Sham Supermarket & Mohammed Idris

Hi everyone, we are a small business who are using our space to host SUNDAY 18th MINI MARKET to raise money for the small businesses on the Donegal Rd who were victims of racial attacks & riots.

We went to these local businesses earlier today, there was a dark eerie feeling in the air as these people stood in the remains of their business, most of the shops were just burnt remains of the physical structures & all the produce seemed to be burnt.

As we tried to approach them to ask how we can help, some of which we know from our very neighbourhood, these people were just living in a nightmare & naturally too overwhelmed to talk.

So we have decided to just raise what we can and we will physically hand deliver the proceeds to them as soon as we complete the MINI MARKET & collections.

We managed to exchange numbers with one of the gentleman who was translating between us & one of the shop owners, we will contact him to make the donations amongst the neighbours.

This money can help them survive this period of their lives, feed families, support income that will not be made and hopefully help get their businesses up & running safely again.

There has been others raising for the cause which is beautiful, the MINI MARKET is just an another addition to the countless worries & financial obstacles these people will face. Many jobs & individuals will be in crisis so when you consider these amounts of proceeds divided it’s still very difficult times.

The MINI MARKET will take place at High Society at 11am-3pm (or sellout)
There will be plenty of locally made goods for sale, we have offered to pay cost price to all vendors, and we will resell for proceeds, although some vendors have kindly donated for free.

Sweet Baked goods stocked by  local bakers Froot Cake, Lily Pink Bakery, 3 Forty Seven Bakery, Sans bakery (vegan)

Boxes of chocolates from Tempered Chocolates NI

Guinness & treacle bread from our friends at Roam, Belfast city centre restaurant (these breads are pretty incredible)

Bags of filter coffee from local roaster Lucid Coffee & they are kindly donating the equipment & cups for takeaway filters on the day!

Art prints from
Jos McGookin
Day time Dozer
Macy Stewart Studio

Maybe we will have more to add by the time the event arrives. We will collect bought & donated goods to set up market in our barbershop, so vendors will not be obligated to be present due the to space not being huge and we wanna fill it with customers! Although, that being said vendors are definitely welcome but no obligation to give up products & your precious Sundays.

Let’s bring the good vibes, good music, good food, good art and raise as much money as we can to help these people in such tragic times.

Peace & love
