Today, I share with you all that my beautiful, kind-hearted father is nearing the end of his journey here on earth and is on the road to transitioning to his eternity in the afterlife with the assistance and care from the hospice team. There are no words to express how devastated we are. My father has been sick for a long time and it seems as much as we tried to prepare ourselves for this moment, it just isn’t enough; you can’t possibly prepare enough for such heartache. The progression of his disease gives him a couple of weeks with us or sadly, maybe even just a few days with us. I don’t even know how to describe the pain in all of our hearts.

For those friends and family members that live far who ask to give what our culture refers to as monetary condolences. We have started a gofundme to help support this. All and any gifts are appreciated. This will help my parents with funeral and burial costs.

I ask that if you can, lift my father up in prayer today as we navigate through this difficult time. I love you, old man ❤️
