Sunnyside fire victims

Hello,

My name is Melissa and my family has lived in sunnyside for more than 30 years. On 12/20/2023, few days before Christmas 43-09 47th Ave in sunnyside Queens NY was hit with a 5 alarm fire. All residents of the building were told they will not be able to return home and building was placed on vacate order. Since then, families have been staying in hotels and shelter with no knowledge of what’s to come. I myself, was born and raised in this building and every childhood memory remains with this building. My family has been burden right before the holidays and are suffering with basic needs such as clothes, food and essentials.

From the bottom of my heart and all those who have suffer as well from the fire. Kindly ask for donations. Anything will help, many lost everything that day and family was relocated away from the community they have grown to love.❤️
