Sunrise Middle School Student-Athletes GO AZTECS!

Going into our second year together with Coaches Alex Estrada and Alonso Guerrero, our Sunrise Basketball players have dedicated Summer break, weekends, and after-school hours to becoming better players and better, more involved members of the community. Basketball has taken us to see San Jose State University, play with semi-pro players at events in the park, and work out with some of the top trainers in the county. Being a Student-Athlete comes with great responsibility and pride. We hold our players to high standards in the classroom and expect them to lead by example on and off the court.

Our goal is to raise enough WINS to make the Playoffs and raise enough money for Team-Jackets and shoes for players that need them. Our players come from very hardworking families, and basketball is what keeps them healthy and active all year long. These team jackets will represent the hard work they put in to make the team this year and give them a sense of confidence and unity! They can wear them outside of school, at school, and before and after games.

This year we will have Boys Junior Varsity and Boys Varsity teams, as well as a Coed team in the Spring. You will be proud to support the Sunrise Aztecs because we directly support the holistic development of youth in a historically underserved community. Our goal is to purchase 24 jackets, with the remaining money allocated to players who need new Basketball shoes...
