Sunsense Society For American Heart Association

As apart of HOSA's State Leadership Conference's Community Awareness event, Sunsense Society is raising money to donate to the American Heart Association (AHA).

AHA has been fighting heart disease and stroke for nearly 100 years, including raising awareness regarding the dangers of heatstroke. Those with heart disease are at a higher risk of heatstroke, especially if they're on certain medications such as beta blockers, ace receptor blockers, ace inhibitors, calcium channel blockers and diuretics as they exaggerate the body's response to heat. Millions of people are impacted everyday from the research and patient care by the AHA. By donating you will help fight against both heatstroke and heart disease within the elderly and the youth.
