Goal:

Sara and Phillip of Sunset Roasters are seeking community support to fundraise $12,000 to help purchase, design, and build out a vintage 1960 International Harvester Metro coffee van so that we can expand our family-run business to a mobile operation.  Our goal is to have our coffee van up and running to serve our signature coffee to thousands of people more around the Bay Area.  We'd love to have the van be a staple in our community and posted in regular spots around the city several days a week.

Funds raised will not only assist in the build out and equipment but will additionally cover the cost of California's health inspection and certification as a food & drink mobile vendor.


Our Story:

Sunset Roasters started as a simple in-home 10-year coffee roasting hobby; at the urging of friends to expand, Sunset Roasters became Sara and Phillip’s full-fledged licensed small business in 2018!  Our primary sales platform was originally online only at SunsetRoasters.com and in the summer of 2020, we also began selling our specialty coffee at a weekly farmers market.  The community support for our coffee has been overwhelming both locally and across the U.S.  Many are encouraging us to continue to grow, and patronage has been steadily growing since day one! 

Now we’re looking to reach more customers, hire staff, and share the joy of quality specialty coffee.  Whether that cup is for you, a coworker, or friend, Sunset Roasters is a treasure we all need more of.
