On Oct. 10, 2021, Chaz & Maureen Taft experienced the most unimaginable tragedy. Their youngest son Cameron (22 months old) had a near fatal drowning accident.
Due to the quick response from family, friends & first responders, Cameron was revived in the ambulance on his way to Elmhurst hospital. He was then transferred to to Lurie Children's Hospital where he remained until Nov. 1
Cameron was on a ventilator the first nine days at Luries fighting for his life. Maureen & Chaz were given news no parent wants to hear, which was they needed to make a decision. Maureen was taught "Where there is life, there is hope." They knew Cameron had life in him.
After all the testing, the family learned Cameron has a severe brain injury & the road to recovery will be long.
After 3 weeks at Luries, Cameron was transferred to in patient care at Shirley Ryan Ability Lab.
Because of the insurmountable medical bills, & Cameron's future needs, we have created this Go Fund Me for the Taft Family. Please support the Taft Family with a donation & a prayer.
We thank you from the bottoms of our hearts.
