Super Scarlett is FINALLY home!

After a long almost 18 months in hospital, Scarlett is home! And we hope she stays home! This has been a long time waiting for this very moment. On December 23rd we finally took our little one home. Only to go back to Sick Kids hospital the very next day, and we have made 3 trips since then. Due to extensive travel and equipment expenses we are reaching out for help.  As parents, we both want to best care for our dear Scarlett and we will never give up the fight! Reaching out for help is very difficult for us but at this moment in time travel and medical expenses are adding up with a trip to Sick Kids every week or more.

Scarlett still has many more surgeries in the future. For those who do not know our precious little one, Scarlett was born with a Giant Omphalocele ( her liver, stomach, gallbladder and bowels) on the outside of her body. She also requires oxygen 24 hours and day and is fed solely by a feeding tube that gives her the nutrients that she needs. Scarlett also has scoliosis which will require a surgery when she is a bit older as well as a surgery for a leg injury when she went septic last year at this time.
