Super Drew's Crusade for a Cure
Donation protected
Christmas 2018 looked very different for the Esposito family. A trip to the pediatrician on Christmas Eve with their youngest, Drew, was the beginning of a nightmare for Jeremy, Sondra, Drew, Katie and Will as they discovered a brain tumor that would lead to a daunting surgery set for Christmas morning.
The surgery would remove a lemon sized tumor from the base of Drew’s skull called Medulloblastoma. Christmas day turned to Christmas night as the family ticked 12 one-hour check-ins off the clock while Super Drew and his amazing surgeons worked to get every glint of tumor out of this fearless four-year old’s head. The family celebrated a successful surgery and post-operative tests, but were quickly faced with the long road before them.
Now, the battle royale has begun. Super Drew is in a fight to beat cancer. With his trusty crew by his side – mom, dad, brother, sister, family, friends, medical team – and you, he is going to win every battle this cancer throws his way. A treatment plan is in place which will include 4 rounds of in-patient chemotherapy over the next 4-5 months followed by a few months of recovery.
Cancer isn’t cheap. Ask any survivor. That’s why we’re asking for help for the Esposito family. During such an emotionally hard time, let’s help make it financially easier. And, if you know this family, you know how incredibly generous they are. Proceeds will go towards Drew's medical expenses. Any unused funds will be donated to a cancer charity of the family's choice which will be determined and announced at a later date.
As Spiderman's Uncle Ben famously said - With great power (of our community), comes great responsibility (to take care of one another). If this little boy has the superhuman strength we know he does to beat this evil villain called cancer, each of us can play the hero, too.
Please donate now, any amount is greatly appreciated.
