Superhero Julian Memorial Fund

Donation protected
On Saturday, June 2 Superhero Julian gained his wings and is now flying high in heaven.  Now we have the difficult task of preparing his funeral arrangements.  We have gotten quotes from cemeteries and mortuaries and the costs are way beyond our means.  This new GoFundMe page has been established solely for the funeral expenses.  Julian fought courageously for four difficult years and he deserves an honorable service.
Late last year and into 2018 our insurance began to deny coverage for medical procedure, clinical trial chemo, mobile equipment for Julian and portions of the hospice care services.  The funds from the previous page have been depleted in covering these medical expenses that arose since last November and up until his passing.
Thank you to everyone for all of your continued support

Julian's story from previous GoFundMe :
Our son Superhero Julian was diagnosed with brain cancer at the tender age of 2. The tumor was found on his brain stem which is surgically impossible to remove. The prognosis was not good, but Superhero Julian was not afraid and began his heroic battle. When he was only given months to live, Superhero Julian has defied all odds and continues his fight against DIPG for 4 years. In these past 4 years, Julian has endured and persevered through more than any child or any human should ever have to, but HE did. And he did it in a way that it can only be described as something that could only be been done by a superhero with supernatural powers.
As of today he has exhausted all standard chemotherapies available for children and adults, underwent 7 weeks of radiation therapy and 2 brain surgeries/biopsies. The results of his last biopsy in October revealed that the cancer was now an aggressive grade 4 tumor.
Now our Superhero is in perhaps his biggest battle, and we face the possibility of losing our son. Acceptance into a clinical trial is our last medical treatment option to try to stop the tumor from growing. Everyday that passes we have seen Julian's health worsen. It has been so difficult to see our energetic outgoing free spirited boy go from running around one week and to not being able to walk without assistance the next. There is a pain deep in our hearts that never goes away. We can't bear the thought of living life without our Superhero. As a parent the worse feeling in the world is to see your child sick, and all we want to do is to figure out ways to make him happy and feel better. We would turn the world upside down to find a cure for him but due to financial constraints we are unable to afford other alternative treatments or travel to see other specialist with other treatments.
This GoFundMe account was created to help us to give our son a better fighting chance, medical expenses and to bring as many smiles to his face, just as he has done for hundreds of other children with cancer through his annual Superhero Julian Toy Drive. We don't know what tomorrow may bring but we trust in God and have faith that our prayers will be heard.
We want to deeply thank everyone that has continued to support and pray for Julián during his ongoing battle with cancer. Julián has shown all those that love him, that he truly is deserving of being called a super hero. Words cannot express how lucky we are to have your love and support. Your blessings help us keep moving forward.
