SUPERIOR CONNECTIONS EMERGENCY SHELTER
Tax deductible
Marquette County, Michigan
There is currently a critical need for funding to keep this shelter operating! The number of guests per night has increased. Please donate and help us keep these individuals out of the elements for the remainder of the season! As many of us know, we are experiencing a housing crisis that has decreased the number of available affordable housing options. That, coupled with the impact COVID-19 had on individuals and families, homelessness has become even more prominent. Existing shelters simply cannot keep up with the demand driven by factors beyond any one person's control, leaving many with no good options. But as a community, we can unite to keep everyone warm and fed this winter!
In October, Superior Housing Solutions* started Superior Connections Emergency Shelter, providing meals and overnight sleeping space to those who need it. A handful of generous volunteers, donors, and businesses helped it get off the ground, and various local churches stepped up to provide rotating shelter space. Your monetary donation now are building on that momentum and keeping this effort moving forward. As we work toward more sustainable funding for the future of this shelter, we ask for your help to bridge the gap!
- Your $20 donation can keep one person out of the elements for a night
- Your $40 donation can provide one evening meal for everyone in the shelter
- Your $180 donation can provide shelter for approximately 12 guests per night
- Your $1,200 donation can keep the shelter operating for one week
Your donations will pay for overnight staff for the shelter and will help to keep it operating. They will also contribute to efforts to secure long-term housing for its guests - making the shelter a temporary stop on the way to something better.
Our goal is to help our guests find independent, safe, and permanent housing.
