Jaxxons story:: December 27, 2018 jaxx was admitted into the hospital for failure to thrive. He was just small. A few days later and a million diff tests finally showed he had CHD called ALCAPA. He had open heart surgery and did really well through it. 4 days later he got 2 blood clots in his brain which caused him to have a severe stroke. It left him without the use of his right leg or right arm. After a while they noticed his heart function wasnt getting any better and he was still pretty sick and decided we needed to list him for a heart transpant. We had to wait 6 weeks out from the stroke and Feb 19 they listed him as 1A for a heart transplant. While he waited he had to stay in the hospital as well which is 1 1/2 hours or so away from home. Fast foward Jaxxon got his call at 744am august 15, 2019 and recieved his heart on August 16, 2019. He did fantastic job pulling through it and recovery and we were on way to recovery in Shaker Heights rehab when Jaxx out of nowhere went into heart failure. Jessica works at Wooster High School and had just gone back to work thinking he was doing good and everyone was certain this was the right direction. He is now in heart failure due to antibody rejection... And we are back at square one with not knowing what will happen from day to day. He wss was immediately transported to the picu unit and will remain there for an unseen amount of time where they are aggressivly treating his heart rejection. Jessica has 5 kids at home and goes back and fourth to take care of them as well as be at the hospital. But when he is critically ill like now, she is unable to work because she is in Cleveland and still trying to maintain life back home.
