Supplies for Victims in the Atlas Mountains
Donation protected
The earthquake that struck Morocco's High Atlas Mountains on September 8th has reduced entire villages to rubble and collapsed roads leaving communities isolated. Now, the people who call these places home are left without basic necessities. This is a desperate situation, but together, we can help the people of the High Atlas Mountains rise again and make it through this ongoing tragedy.
In response, I've teamed up with a group of dedicated trekking guides who reside in the Atlas Mountains. They possess intimate knowledge of the region, including the remote villages that are often overlooked in times of crisis. Alongside them, I've assembled a group of friends and colleagues in Marrakech, all committed to providing immediate relief and long-term support.
We're running the "Supplies for Victims in the Atlas Mountains" campaign to raise funds for essential supplies. Every cent donated is being withdrawn here in Morocco and used to purchase food, medications, clean water, clothing, tents, warm blankets, shoes, flashlights, and any other items that the villagers urgently require. We'll be delivering these supplies ourselves and will be able to hear directly from the people what their needs are. Our mission is simple: provide the support these communities need to survive, recover, and rebuild.
Our team in Marrakech is not just raising funds; we're actively involved in the relief efforts. We organize trips into the mountains, arrange medical evacuations, collaborate with international partners, prepare meals for distribution, offer shelter to those in need, and do whatever it takes to help these resilient people regain their footing.
Please consider making a donation to our campaign. Whether it's $5 or $500, every dollar counts. Additionally, you can help by sharing our campaign with your friends, family, and social networks. Your support will not only provide immediate relief but also help these villages rebuild their futures.
About Me:
My name is Brittany Stone and I've called Marrakech my home for over four years, working as a Music Teacher and Program Coordinator for an international nonprofit. Originally from North Carolina, my journey led me to Morocco, where I've developed a deep connection with its people and their culture. Now, I'm determined to give back to this beautiful country that has given me so much.
A huge thank you to everyone who is able to contribute, and everyone who's working hard on the grounds to support our efforts.
