Supplies needed for Asheville area devastated residents.
Donation protected
My name is Elizabeth Baker, a USMC veteran with RE/MAX in Charleston, SC. Our Weaverville, NC office lost its broker in charge & her husband in Helene’s flooding. Their area is still devastated. I’m raising funds to buy supplies to bring into Weaverville via my 2 box trucks Saturday to the local RE/MAX office & a church, both manned by colleagues helping to distribute these items directly to those in need.
If you’re local in Charleston, please drop off any of the following items, new or used, at the American Legion Post 147 at 968 Folly Road. I am the 1st Vice Commander there. One box truck will remain on site there & one will be just over the Ravenel Bridge in Mount Pleasant at my home for physical donations. We will drive into Asheville Saturday morning, round trip. Here’s the list of needs provided by colleagues & a National Guard reservist deployed there:
Cleaning supplies (trash bags, paper towels, etc)
Tents
Sleeping bags
Camping stoves + the small propane tanks
Cookware
Non perishable food items (rice, beans, cooking oil)
LONG SLEEVE CLOTHING (will be in 40s today)
Socks
Shoes
Jackets
Toiletries & TP
Towels
Coats
hats

Coleman type cots
hot tents with a wood stove jack

I will have a video compilation from these folks to follow. I will be documenting along the way on social media because I want people to know that these items are truly going to go straight into the hands of the people who need them. Keep in mind, they are about to go to 40° and below And they desperately need these supplies.
