Supply Western Ukraine with Tourniquets
Donation protected
Dear friends, I’ve made the conscious decision to pause my extremely comfortable life in America to head to war in Ukraine. I will be bringing in much-needed medical and trauma gear, specifically tourniquets and bandages, and then volunteering my skills to serve as a medic.
While I do have limited military experience, what I have more importantly is medical experience in EMT and TCCC. Beyond that, I’m not married, I have no kids, and I have a deep passion for service. Throughout our human history, people have gone off to war, and to fight and champion for causes greater than oneself.
I have talked a lot with my military friends, and they shared their experiences in war, from Afghanistan to Iraq. Death is certain for all humans, but we only get one opportunity at this life, now. We’ll never be here again, so I have a moral obligation, as well as some skills, to do my part now and act.
I have no expectations other than to do what I can to help. This is part of the larger shared human experience. I recognize many will not understand why I am going.
