Support Mental Health Mission inside Idaho prisons
Donation protected
UPDATE: For all my friends and fellow supporters of mental health, thank you for all the donations thus far! We are 2 months into the year pilot commitment with an outstanding development to secure long-term funding next year! However, I still please need your help to complete the pilot phase. Thank you so much for creating the movement to make this program possible. This is a volunteer effort and my heart goes out to all who have participated in this initiative to bring my program to life, I could not have done it alone. The donations are used in gas for travel, food and/or lodging expenses. Everything helps. Please donate or share! Much Much Gratitude! ️
Hi, my name is Caralee. I am a mother, artist, volunteer, and student in Criminal Justice and Social Work. I have created a mental health support group with light information for those struggling who are incarcerated. This population has the highest need for care with the least resources and access. The groups are for people who struggle with a mental health issue and involvement in the justice system.
In the United States, 43% of people in state prisons have a diagnosis. Sadly, many arrests are preventable through connection to available resources, education, and support. These groups accomplish that goal. The groups are peer-led, drawing from fact-based education alongside real-world experience. The groups foster resilience and benefit the re-entry process.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
I am also using 75% of the proceeds from wranglingwreaths.net to fund this project, so please jump on and purchase yourself a wreath for the coming holidays.
