Support 2 Chefs Gullah Geechee's New Beginning

Hello Everyone! My name is Taylor and this is my husband/partner Curtis. We are the Owners of 2 Chefs Gullah Geechee Soul Food Restaurant in Savannah, Georgia. We have 11 beautiful children, 7 girls and 4 boys. We are asking for your help to raise the money for us to start the build out for the new location we have found, that is a Prime location.

Our previous location, we were there for 5 years and abruptly we received a letter on December 27, 2023, that we had 60 days to vacate the property. This was very upsetting news and such short notice to move a full operation to another location. We were forced to put all of our equipment in 3 storages because there isn’t 1 storage big enough to hold all our equipment. Trying to find another location in Savannah was/is challenging plus lease is at an all time high. We prefer to purchase but that option is limited as well. We are only going to sign a long term lease.

2 Chefs Gullah Geechee Soul Food Restaurant served the Community during COVID-19, providing free breakfast for 8 weekends. We’ve always given back to the Community because without them, there would be no us. Here is a little background about me (Taylor), I was raised by my grandmother who was born and raised in Pin Point Georgia which is a Gullah Geechee Community. My grandmother worked at the crab factory which is now the Pin Point Heritage Museum. My grandmother taught and gave me all of her secret recipes and techniques. And those recipes are on our menu. We have all walks of life that come to dine and eat some good ole Gullah Geechee food. Our customers miss us and we miss them. Can you all find it in your heart to help us get back open so we can Serve Our Community.
