Support 4 Brent ❤️‍ A Journey of Hope & Healing

Hello wonderful people of our community, friends, and all those we have yet to meet. We're reaching out to you on behalf of the Gilbert family, who could really use your help right now.

Brent was involved in a motorcycle accident Monday night and had to be life flighted with life threatening injuries. Currently on a ventilator after post op complications but is anole to respond by shaking his head. He will have months of rehab to regain mobility. He will be in the hospital for at least 2 weeks.

As owners of Just Love Coffee in Mt Juliet, and together with our awesome team, we're dedicated to supporting Brent, a teammate and friend, as he goes through this tough period and embarks on his journey to recovery. Brent was in a horrific motorcycle crash and was life flighted from KY to TN. He needs us more than ever now.

Injuries sustained

*Bilateral arterial bleeds in carotid

*C3, C5, T5, T6, and T7 broken vertebrae

*Broken Ribs 6&7 on his left side

*Open book pelvis with multiple fractures.

*Right ulnar and radius fracture

*Left radius fracture

*Left distal femur fracture

*Minimum of 3-4 surgical procedures

8/31 Latest update: After a scary evening of post-op complications, Brent had to be put on a ventilator. Brent is improving and able to respond to commands. There is some pelvic bleeding, possibly additional procedure. They plan to keep him on ventilator, and tomorrow a pelvic surgery. He has fluid on his lungs, not pneumonia. His blood pressure is currently low and he is receiving two pints of blood to help stabilize.

He is loved by everyone around him for his charisma and wonderful character. He makes the day better for every teammate, when he walks into the room.
