Support for Leanne

Like many people within the Lismore community, Leanne has been through a terrifying ordeal this morning. She had to escape to the roof of her house with her little dog Ziggy when the flood water rose so quickly it forced them out of their home.

We are so proud of her, and we are very grateful for the courageous efforts of the heroes of the Lismore community who rescued her from that rooftop and got her to higher ground and safety. Sadly at this stage her only belongings are what she had in her handbag, the clothes she had on, and quite bizarrely a bear onesie that she was gifted at the evacuation centre.

At this point the crisis in Lismore is ongoing and it will probably be days before she can return to see what the damage is. But we think we can safely say that everything will be destroyed, leaving her to restore her home from the undies up!
