Support 90 yr grandparents after Eaton Fire home loss
Donation protected
Hi, our grandparents, Frederick and Frances (Smalls) Caple, lost their home and belongings in the Eaton fires. They are over ninety years old and have lived in their house in Altadena for the past fifty-eight years.
Our grandparents are from North and South Carolina. They are both proud HBCU alumni. My grandfather attended North Carolina Central University and is a United States Army Veteran who served in the Korean War. Before retiring, he owned and operated Caple Brothers Construction Company for over sixty years. Our grandmother attended Benedict College, where in 1951 she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She later obtained her doctorate in social work from the University of Southern California, where she became the Associate Dean of the School of Social Work and contributed to the development of students there for over thirty years before retiring.
Having a strong foundation in Christ, our grandparents have been members and served in the lay ministries of FAME Pasadena Church for many years. Everyone who meets them feels their love and like they are part of the family. They are generous and loving and support us in everything we do. They have served their community in various capacities, and through this hardship, their faith in their Lord and prayers have held them strong. We want to do what we can to help them.
Thank you so much for your contribution and prayers,
Grace, Richard, Ryan, and Victoria Jones
