Support Mimi’s Family in Their Time of Need

Hello, my name is Mimi, and I’m raising funds to help my family keep our apartment and car.

About us and this situation:

I’m a stay-at-home mother to a 2-year-old wonderful, loving little girl. My fiancé works full-time in the gas industry. I cannot work due to being disabled, but don’t qualify for disability. In July, I was 14 weeks pregnant, and unfortunately, we lost our baby. As a result of the loss, I suffered from complications of retained products of conception and got an infection. I was in and out of doctors' offices and the hospital for a month. Because of this, my fiancé had to stay home and be with our daughter a lot. His company at the time didn’t have any benefits due to the way the union negotiated with the company. Therefore, the company didn’t, and wouldn’t, pay him for any time he missed to care for me and our daughter. Not being paid for that time has caused a domino effect with our bills.

We are behind on rent, behind on our car payment, and the electric bill. We are nearing yet another round of due dates for each of those things and are so close to losing our apartment and the one car that we have.

I have tried applying for loans, as has my fiancé. But we have both been through recent divorces, and because of them, have struggled financially for the past 2 years. Our credits are shot and we can’t get any assistance.

If you find it in your heart to help us out, so that we can keep these very vital things, it would be so much appreciated. I am so scared, and I don’t want my family to suffer any more than we already have this year. I want to keep our daughter comfortable and safe in her home.
