Support a Brave Family After a Tragic Attack
Donation protected
It’s with a heavy heart that I share the story of a dear friend and valued member of our construction team, Mariano Ramos who recently endured an unimaginable tragedy.
On October 18th, Mariano was viscously attacked by three men in front of his home in an unprovoked, random act of violence. He was left lying alone, unconscious, and bleeding from multiple stab wounds. His 14-year-old daughter was the first to find him, courageously calling 911 and ensuring he received urgent medical care.
Thankfully, he survived, but his recovery will be long and challenging. His serious injuries will have a lasting impact on his physical health and have caused profound trauma for both him and his family.
Due to his injuries, our hardworking team member is unable to return to work, so the family is now facing unforeseen medical and living expenses. We’ve set up this campaign to help ease the financial burden for the family during this difficult time.
Any amount you can contribute, no matter how small, will go a long way. Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with others who may be able to help. Your kindness, thoughts, and prayers are deeply appreciated. Thank you sincerely for your support.
A Note from the Family:
Good evening to everyone seeing this campaign.
My name is Santa Ramirez, the wife of Mariano Ramos, and mother to our three children—Venancio (14), Ursula (12), and Justin (3).
On the tragic night of Friday, October 18, 2024, our lives changed forever. My husband was attacked in the parking lot outside our home while retrieving some things from the car. I was in my room with our youngest son when I heard screams for help. My daughters ran out to see what was happening and came back screaming that their father had been hurt.
I rushed outside with my son and saw my husband, covered in blood. He managed to tell me not to be scared—that he had been attacked with a knife. The sight was horrifying. My oldest daughter called 911, and the police and ambulance arrived quickly to take him to the hospital in Escondido, California.
The fear, shock, and helplessness my children and I felt were overwhelming. Watching my husband bleed while my children cried was devastating. We could only pray and wait for news from the hospital, terrified of what might happen next.
This tragedy has left our family deeply shaken. We’ve never experienced anything like this, and I hope no one else ever has to.
I’m sharing this story with you, humbly asking for your support during this incredibly difficult time. Anything you can do to help us get through this is deeply appreciated.
May God bless you for listening and for any assistance you can provide. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
