“Support a Brave Mum & Her Kids Find Stability”
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Emily, and I’m setting up this GoFundMe for a truly special friend. a strong, loving, and hardworking mother who has been through unimaginable struggles to keep her children safe.
For the past two and a half years, my friend and her four incredible children have been homeless. After leaving an unsafe home, she was denied housing support simply because she didn’t have visible bruises—despite being in desperate need of protection. With nowhere else to go, they were offered temporary accommodation that was uninhabitable and unsafe. They have spent years sofa-surfing and living in a cramped two-bedroom park home with seven people—sleeping on airbeds, squeezed into shared beds, and constantly struggling to find stability.
She has fought tirelessly—writing petitions, contacting MPs, and raising awareness—about the lack of support for single mothers. While two-parent families were being housed with ease, she was left to struggle, fighting for her children’s basic right to a home.
Now, after years of hardship, she has finally been offered a social housing property! But the house is in an unlivable condition—no flooring, no furniture, and in desperate need of work. When you are homeless, you are given the bare minimum, with the attitude that it’s “better than being on the streets.” While that may be true, no family should have to accept a broken home after everything they’ve endured.
This mother is one of the strongest, kindest, most resilient women I know. Despite all the challenges, she has raised four wonderful children—creative, polite, and full of hope. Now, I want to help them finally have a real home—a space where they can feel safe, warm, and secure.
I’m asking for any support—whether it’s donations for furniture, flooring, paint, or even time to help decorate. Every little bit will help us transform this house into a home where they can finally breathe, relax, and rebuild their lives.
Please donate if you can, and if you’re unable to, sharing this fundraiser would mean the world. Let’s show this incredible family that they are not alone.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
