Support A Breast Cancer Memorial for MamaDoesThings
Donation protected
After a 3 year battle with breast cancer, my mother passed away roughly a week ago surrounded by loved ones, fighting until the very end.
Ever since she came to the USA on a cargo plane right before the Fall of Saigon in 1975, she faced life head on with unmatchable strength and grace. She was an incredibly hard worker both in the medical field and at home; her creative spirit, determination, and infectious laughter will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime until there is a cure.
In honor of my mom’s service in the healthcare industry and to aid other families affected by breast cancer, my family is aiming to establish a memorial dedicated to her at the hospital she worked at, as well as make a contribution to the cancer institute where she received treatment. Her favorite spot to rest during her breaks was on a garden bench overlooking the ocean, and we hope the memorial can offer that same comfort and respite to others.
If you would like to support these goals, any donations are appreciated.
UPDATE: Thank you all so, so much for your generous donations. They'll be a huge help in establishing the memorial for my mom; words can't express how grateful I am to each and every one of you. I'll post pictures of it on my socials once it's put in place, likely by the time her birthday comes around in December <3
