Support a Bright Future for Sandy's Children
Donation protected
A little over 2 years ago my older cousin Sandy was diagnosed with brain cancer, last night, the cancer took her. She passed away at the age of 43, survived by her 2 children Zach (12) and Ali (5) as well as her husband ,brother, and loving parents. Sandy was a brilliant lawyer, the Vice President of Corporate Legal at Sony.
She was one of the most kind hearted, diligent and hard working people I have ever met. I spent most of my youth chasing her and her friends, wanting to be just like her. She loved her kids fiercely and although she fought long and hard to stay with them in the end the cancer was too much to overcome. Her family was by her side until the very end and although no parent should have to bury their child my aunt and uncle provided the greatest parental sacrifice to be with their daughter through the scariest moments of her life. Their love and devotion to her was a wonder to witness. She knew she was loved. As a mom I can only imagine her main concern was that the kids will be alright so in lieu of flowers should you like to show your respects to Sandy I ask that you donate to a fund for her children so that she can have the peace of mind that their future will be bright and they will be taken care of. It’s hard to find the good in these moments but she has changed my outlook and hopefully yours too. Let Sandy’s life cut short be a lesson to us all. That life is short, that most of what we worry and lose sleep over is not worth our while and to not take a single day for granted. I thank you all for anything you’re able to contribute.
