I am Hammam Gharbia, I grew up in a family that has been devoted to the build and strengthening of the society and infrastructure in Gaza. My family sacrificed all that it had to educate me and my sibling, and I chose to study medicine in Egypt, to be close to home and learn as much as I can to join the doctors and health teams in Gaza. My dream is to build my skills and training in cardiology, a challenging threats to the adults in Gaza with the limited medication, nutrition and testing capacity for decades. The war on Gaza happened while I am in the middle of my residency and specialisation, cutting me off my family in Gaza and leaving me with bare minimum capacity to maintain my living. However, seeing what has happened to the hospital and the death of so many skilled specialists, is making me more determined to be part of the healing my family, friends and neighbours across Gaza, and I could not give up or stop training. I am working part time when I can go for my accommodation and food while I continue with my residency and learn more about my specialisation and practice at hospitals in Egypt. The training needs me to keep my formal registration and take my next set of exams to get a recognised qualification and be ready to go home and support reestablishing the health care. I need your support to pay these outstanding fees and sit my exams over the next 12 months so I don’t lose the opportunity.

Here is how the funds will be spent:

500£ for the second exam which be held at the end of the fourth year.

600£ for the third exam which will be held at the end of fifth year.
