Dedicated Activist's Cancer Battle
Donation protected
Hello, friends. I am a disabled, queer, gender queer activist and community organizer with a focus on street medic, community defense, mutual aid, and food sovereignty. After many years of doing this work in multiple cities, I've been knocked down by an extremely rare form of cancer (splenic marginal zone b-cell non-Hodgkins lymphoma) that put me the hospital for weeks, with subsequent hospitalizations for heart issues and a jugular blood clot all related to the cancer. I'm out of the hospital and am receiving chemo and other meds to survive. This has allowed me to continue my community org work at a limited capacity, but in order to survive this and keep doing the work, I need ongoing help from the community to pay for chemo infusions, medicine, specialist visits, scans and tests, as well as the debt I'm slowing paying for the most recent hospitalizations, ER trips, and ambulance rides, which must be paid in order to continue treatments.
I have pushed through extreme hardships, disability, poverty, escaping abuse and losing family in order to serve our community. The only thing that can stop me now is this cancer and related heart disease. Please don't let it win. Help me fight what's inside me so I can fight what's out there. Please consider donating if you're able, or sharing this.
This is a redo GFM. I had to change from the previous one due to privacy reasons
