Support a Dream: Help Ariel's Friend Through Crisis

Donation protected
My friend came to the United States with the dream of studying computer science. Unfortunately, due to an administrative error, the loan she was promised has been delayed for 6 months. She is now struggling to put food on the table.

In honor of my birthday, I would be grateful if you could contribute to help her meet her basic needs (food, household items like toilet paper and soap, etc.) until her loan is disbursed. Her words are below:

You know that feeling when you have been working hard towards a dream, making sacrifices to chase it? That's exactly where I am at as a computer science student in Maine. Thanks to a scholarship, I have had the chance to pursue what I love. But lately, it's been an uphill climb. My financial aid got delayed, leaving me without cash for essentials like food during the brutal winter. We are talking six long months of struggling to cover basic needs amidst the academic hustle, which has made it tough to keep my eye on the prize.

That's when real friends show their colors. My amazing friend Ariel organized this fundraiser to cover food costs until the aid bureaucracy gets untangled. Having supportive people watching my back means everything when times are tough. It reminds you how powerful community can be.This fundraiser could bridge the gap. With help covering basics, I know I can recapture momentum, make it to the finishline fed and focused, with friendships intact.

Facing challenges is an inherent part of any journey, and I am committed to persevering with dignity. Despite this speed bump, nothing will stop me from getting that degree and walking across that stage to grab my computer science diploma with both hands. Your support is giving me the fuel to power through and the resources to sustain myself until financial aid is disbursed. I am deeply grateful for any assistance you can provide and look forward to paying this kindness forward. Trust me: this is a detour, not the end. We will make it to graduation, one way or another. Thank you for being a part of this story!
