Support a Family After a Tragic Shooting

On the night of march 31st, my mother’s husband and my three year old brother left to get food for her and my siblings. He first stopped to get gas at their nearby station. This is when some teenagers who were gang affiliated randomly targeted him.. Thankfully my youngest sibling was not physically injured at all, but rather shaken up. Unfortunately we cannot say the same about his father..

The teenagers came up randomly to shot him three times and fled the scene. Thankfully bystanders and the police jumped to action before it was too late to save him.

He has had multiple surgeries already and is projected to survive, but will be an extremely difficult and long road to recovery. Thankfully nobody will be more qualified than my mother.

Her husband is the sole provider for their income while she stays home to take care of the kids. Since he will be in a long recovery, he will not be able to work to provide for them.. I am hoping to raise some funds to help them take care of the medical bills, transportation costs (she had to get a rental car as their vehicle was damaged) food and any other expenses like therapy or whatever is needed for them to get past this traumatic experience.

My family is incredibly shaken up by this event and it will take a lot of time to heal from the trauma. In the meantime I hope to raise enough money to relieve some stress from my mother’s plate, as she will be now taking care of them all..
