Help Support A Family Of 6 After Eaton Canyon Fire
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
My name is Ana Rojas. I am creating this GoFundMe in the name of my family as we face the aftermath of the devastating Eaton Canyon fire here in Altadena, CA. Our home was right in the path of the fire’s rapid spread, and we had little warning before we were forced to evacuate. Sadly, the fire destroyed everything we owned—our house, our belongings, and my dad’s essential work tools.
My dad Humberto has worked six days a week in construction for years, using his tools to support us. My mom Teresa has worked tirelessly, often putting in 10-hour days, just to make ends meet. Together, they’ve worked hard to provide for our family, but now, with everything gone, it’s a struggle to rebuild.
My 9 year old brother Ronaldo, is facing the loss of his childhood home. Additionally, my uncle Jose, who had recently faced his own hardships, had come to live with us for support. Now, he too is without a place to stay.
Through all of this, we are determined to help my sister Valeria, is about to graduate high school and had planned to attend college this fall. She wants to work in the medical field one day. She is extremely intelligent and deserves a chance at a better life. We want to ensure that she still has the opportunity to pursue her dreams, despite the challenges we face.
I was also planning to start college myself and had big hopes for my future. This fire has disrupted those plans, and I’m trying to figure out how to continue moving forward with my education while facing these financial hardships.
We are asking for help to cover our immediate needs, including temporary housing for 1-3 months, food, clothing, and replacing my dad’s work tools so he can get back to work. Any help, no matter how small, will make a difference as we work to rebuild our lives, secure a stable home, and support my sister’s future education.
This has been an incredibly difficult time for our family, but your kindness gives us the strength to face this overwhelming challenge. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting us—whether through a donation or simply by sharing our story. Your generosity gives us hope for the future.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Ana Rojas and Family
